Wise Community
"Wise Community" is a platform that allows users to share information with each other, including users from other libraries. It is a software product used by your library.
What is Wise Community?
With Wise Community, you can create a national profile to share information about book titles, movie titles, and audio titles with other library users across the country.
Please note that information sharing is only possible with users from libraries that also use the Wise software.
By using Wise Community, you choose to create a profile that is active nationwide. The data is stored nationally and not at your own library.
What can you do with Wise Community?
With Wise Community, you can:
- Create a national profile: This is necessary to use Wise Community;
- Give star ratings: The average number of stars is visible in every library catalog;
- Write reviews: The reviews can be read in every library catalog;
- Add tags: A tag is a label (such as a subject) that allows you to easily find all titles with the same tag later on. The tags are visible to everyone in every library;
- Create lists: Create your own title lists, either for personal use or publicly available. For example, a list of favorite movies, specific music genres, or information about a vacation destination, hobby, or education.
Searching in Wise Community
On the Wise Community page, you can search for other users (by username) and for tags.
The tabs function the same way as in your own Community profile. The difference is that you cannot make any changes.
This manual explains what Wise Community is and how to use it. Not every library uses the same settings, so some functions may work slightly differently.
