Financial items

To access this page, you need to log in first.
My account > Financial items.

Financial items are the different types of expenses you incur at the library. On this page, you can find an overview of your outstanding financial items.

Outstanding items

Navigate to "My account" and select "Financial items" to see any outstanding financial items.

If you have been authorized by someone to make payments on their behalf, you will also see their financial items listed. You can identify these items by the presence of numbers such as (1), (2), or (3) next to them.

On this page, you will also see any credit balance that is available on your library card. With a credit balance, you can make payments. You can often top up your credit balance at the library or online through the Shopping card.

Libraries may sometimes block your library card if you have too many outstanding expenses.

You can also pay outstanding costs here. Click "Pay selected items" to make an online payment. Please note that some libraries may have a minimum payment amount for online transactions.

You will be directed to the Shopping card where you can proceed with online payment or use your credit balance. Please note that your payment is only considered complete once you have completed all the necessary steps.

Credit

On this tab, you will see your credit balance. You can use this to make payments. You can add credit to your balance through the Shopping card.

Recent payments

On this tab, you can view the payments you have made. The overview includes payments made within the past year, while membership fees are displayed for up to one and a half years. The most recent payments are listed at the top.

If a payment is associated with a specific library title, there will be a link in the "Title" column. Click on the title to search for it in the catalog.

Explanation of statuses

If a payment has a status, you will see it indicated in the corresponding footnote. This applies to items:

  • that will be collected via direct debit (*I)
  • that will be collected by the collection agency (*D)
  • for which a payment arrangement has been agreed upon (*R)

Please note that if an item has the status "direct debit", you cannot also pay it manually. This is to prevent accidental double payments.

Questions about financial items

If you are unable to make an online payment or if you are unsure about the origin of a specific amount, please contact your library for assistance.

This manual explains how to view and manage financial items. Not every library uses the same settings, so some functions may work slightly differently.
